Treehill residents have received calls from someone named "Sonata Stevens” claiming to be from the “Treehill Homeowners Association."
In one instance, the caller stated that the resident needed to clear out her patio so the HOA could "redo" it. She was told she would be subject to a fine if it was not completed within 2 weeks.
The resident was very concerned, particularly because the HOA does not have her phone number on file. She has no idea how the caller got her number or knew she was a Treehill resident.
We have also learned of similar calls attempting to scare residents into sending money to fraudulent individuals.
Treehill Park Condos does not call any resident, be they an owner or a renter, who is in violation of any rules. We place tow warning notices on vehicles that are parked in violation of the rules, and we (“we” in this case being Kappes-Miller, our management company) send other violation and fine notices via U.S. Mail. In extreme cases notices have been taped to front doors.
But we do NOT call.
Do not fall for this scam!
